Il Porticciolo

Torre Vado - Morciano di Leuca

Porticciolo di Torre Vado is a marina located in the municipality of Morciano di Leuca, in the province of Lecce. This characteristic place is located on the Ionian coast of Salento, about 5 km north of Santa Maria di Leuca, and the harbour is well equipped to accommodate small and medium-sized boats, with floating docks, toilets, showers and fuel supply points. The small port of Torre Vado is an ideal place to set out to discover the beaches and hidden coves of the Salento coast, or to practice activities such as sport fishing or snorkelling. The town of Torre Vado, which takes its name from the 16th-century coastal tower located near the centre, is a tourist resort renowned for its fine sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. Specifically, the stretch of coastline near the marina includes small sandy inlets mixed with a few spots where there are low, practicable cliffs. The area is also famous for the production of high-quality olive oil and for the typical Salento cuisine, which offers dishes based on fresh fish and local products.
