Historic documents record repairs; the 1760 expenditure suggests serious deterioration but continued use.
It was in good condition in 1825.
The tower was still used by the Customs Guard.
Its function continued long after the corsair-raiding period.

Marchiello belonged to the visual chain linking these coastal towers.
