What this place is
Torre Castiglione is now an almost vanished coastal ruin near Porto Cesareo. Built in 1568, its collapse is linked to the area’s strong karst activity, also visible in the nearby “spunnulate” sinkholes. This is mainly a historic and scenic stop: do not climb the remains or approach unstable holes and edges.
