The marina and the coast
Borraco occupies a stretch of Manduria’s Ionian coast shaped by the beach and the dune system extending towards Campomarino. It stands apart from the centre of San Pietro in Bevagna as its own coastal locality.
The Borraco River
The Borraco River is a typical karst spring of the Ionian coast. Its wetland vegetation and role as a stopping place for waterbirds make the mouth a delicate natural environment to observe and respect.
Borraco Tower
Borraco Tower belongs to the network of coastal watchtowers built for defence. Its outline is one of the locality’s most recognisable features, linking the seascape with the history between Manduria and Maruggio.
