A small rocky inlet in Santa Caterina along Via Cantù: low and higher rock, clear water and an interesting seabed for swimming and snorkelling, but no proper sandy beach.
Santa Caterina Harbour is first and foremost a small port facility in the centre of the resort. It is pleasant for a walk and bay views, but should not be presented as a normal bathing beach inside the harbour.
Santa Caterina Tower, also known locally as Scorzone, rises above the pinewood overlooking the resort. local public sources places it about 200 metres from the sea and dates its construction to the late 16th century.
A small historic room cut into the rock and connected to the sea, linked to Santa Caterina’s tradition of private bathing. It is not a normal beach: in 2026 Nardò municipality commissioned design and technical studies for recovery and reuse, so current access and safety must be checked and all restrictions respected.
