The restored base of a large circular coastal watchtower in Marina di Andrano, documented in use by 1569 and once linked visually with Torre del Sasso and Torre Capo Lupo.
The historic page called it a partly restored 16th-century tower. More precisely, it was certainly in use by 1569; by 1842 it was recorded as ruined, and today the restored truncated-cone base and internal cistern survive.
Historic documentation confirms the tower was operating by 1569.
Tower captains are also documented in 1577, 1594, 1602 and 1661.
